I am setting up this first page to inform you of some things you may need to know for those first days of school. Every year I get all kinds of questions regarding P.E., mainly these questions are referring to what the student should wear. It is important to have a good pair of shoes. These shoes should be comfortable and also provide sufficient support. Black sole shoes leave marks and are not allowed in the gym. Sixth graders this is all you need to worry about. Students in grades 7-12 need to be concerned about a few more items. The proper clothing most be worn in class. This includes: T-Shirts, Shorts, Sweat Pants, Sweat Shirts, and proper supporting gear (males compression shorts-females training bra). T-shirts must have sleeves ( do not cut) and must meet the guidelines in the student handbook. I ask the students to bring the cold weather gear as well because some of the days get a little chilly in the fall. In your locker you should have the proper hygiene products. This may include all or some of the following items: Antibacterial Soap, Shampoo/Conditioner, Deodorant, Face Cleanser, Towel, Contact Case/Saline Solution, Feminine Products, Toothbrush/ Toothpaste, and Lotion (there may be more things you think of). Each student will be given a locker with a combination lock. Do not share this combination with anyone! Keep you locker locked at all times and make sure you keep it clean. P.E. clothes need to go home weekly at a minimum, daily is preferred. Students will also be required to have a notebook for P.E. Class. I am excited for the beginning of a new school year, I hope you are as well!
