Physical Education Week 1

6th Grade
Rules...Procedures...KAT....& Team Building Activities

Tuesday:  Students will be assigned squads, go over rules and expectations, go through a warm-ups, and play two icebreaker games.  The Name Game and The Human Knot Game.

Wednesday: K.A.T.  (This is a program in which students will be challenge and also work to improve speed, strength, and conditioning.  There are a variety of different activities that will be preformed on K.A.T. days including but not limited to dynamic warm-up, flexibility stretching, jogging, sprinting, ladders, cone drills, line drills, jumping rope, hoop exercises, strength training exercises {plates, kettle bells, weighted training balls} and core body exercises.

Thursday:  Warm-Up, Core Exercises, Sprints and Team Jump Rope Challenge Challenge.

Friday:  Warm-Up, Core Exercises, Sprints and Team Hoop Challenge, Bar Challenge and Ball Bumping Challenge.

7th Grade
Lockers...Combos...Rules...Procedures...K.A.T. ... Team Building Activities and Soccer

Tuesday: Students will be assigned a desk, we will go over rules and expectations, sign out and register locks.  We will be playing Hoop Challenge Game with remainder of class time.

Wednesday: K.A.T.  (This is a program in which students will be challenge and also work to improve speed, strength, and conditioning.  There are a variety of different activities that will be preformed on K.A.T. days including but not limited to dynamic warm-up, flexibility stretching, jogging, sprinting, ladders, cone drills, line drills, jumping rope, hoop exercises, strength training exercises {plates, kettle bells, weighted training balls} and core body exercises.



Thursday: Dynamic Warm-Up, Core Exercises, Sprints and Team Jump Rope Challenge , Bar Challenge and Ball Bumping Challenge.

Friday:  Jog Warm-Up, Stretch, go over and practice dribbling and passing drills for soccer.
***Journals are due on Friday at 3:30.

8th grade

Tuesday: Students will be assigned a desk, we will go over rules and expectations, sign out and register locks and hand out health textbooks.  With the remainder of the class period we will be playing "The Lie Game":  Students will number their paper up to the total number of students in the class. Next, they will go around the room, asking each student to tell something about themselves that is "true or false." Students l will write down the name of the student and guess whether the speaker is telling the truth or telling a lie.

Tuesday: Students will be assigned a desk, we will go over rules and expectations, sign out and register locks and hand out health textbooks.  With the remainder of time we will play Two Truths and a Lie: Each group member shares two things about themselves that are true and one thing that is a lie. The rest of the group tries to guess which is the untrue statement.
